C-Explorer 3 submersible by U-Boat Worx wins Red Dot Design Award

The C-Explorer 3 from Dutch submersible manufacturer U-Boat Worx won over the 38-member jury of the Red Dot Award. U-Boat Worx proved its design excellence in the most important competition for product design, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.


The international experts assessed each of the 4,928 entries from 56 countries. The elegant yet functional C-Explorer 3 from U-Boat Worx succeeded in convincing the jury members, deservedly winning the sought-after Red Dot seal of approval.





The C-Explorer 3 is an ultra-modern 3-person submersible that can dive to depths of up to 300 meters. Built to explore the deep sea in air-conditioned comfort, it allows adventurous types to explore hidden shipwrecks, search for new species or simply enjoy the breathtaking marine environment. The C-Explorer 3 submersible features the world’s most spacious fully acrylic pressure hull that offers an unimpeded view. Powered by four independent Lithium-Ion batteries, this private submarine may stay submerged up to 12 hours without recharging.
