This involves a marinised, off-the-shelf, and proven land-based coring system - referred to as ‘FlexiCore™’. This is mounted on to a subsea vehicle: the Seabed Excavator.

C-Kore Units Easy to Use for Equinor & DeepOcean in Norway

C-Kore Systems recently completed a deployment with DeepOcean AS for Equinor. The C-Kore testing tools were used to quickly and simply confirm the status of subsea electrical jumpers on the Tordis field in the Norwegian waters of the North Sea. The C-Kore team provided easy to follow training prior to the mobilisation to give the ROV operators a clear understanding how to use the units.

Subsea 7 - DeepOcean Consortium Awarded Equinor Contracts Offshore Norway

A consortium between DeepOcean and Subsea7 was awarded two contracts by Equinor for the Irpa and Verdande field developments, located in the Norwegian Sea. The Irpa field development project, located in the Aasta Hansteen area at 1,350 metres water depth, involves a subsea tieback of approximately 80 kilometres to the Aasta Hansteen FPSO. The contract scope includes engineering, transportation and installation of a MEG pipeline, a production riser, umbilical, subsea structures and tie-ins.

Edda Freya is an advanced, hybrid-powered construction vessel suited for operations worldwide, designed by Salt Ship Design with a focus on cable laying operations, offshore constructions and advanced maintenance and repair operations. She was built by Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway. Edda Freya is one of three Østensjø Rederi- vessels on contract with DeepOcean.
