The CKore tools were used to test the electrical integrity of the subsea assets. The operation for a major oil operator in over 1,000m water depth allowed rapid testing of umbilicals and electrical flying leads (EFLs) for regulatory compliance and immediate rectification of subsea faults, saving significant man hours and vessel time. Ocean Installer has been awarded a contract for field development work in Nigeria for Folawiyo Aje Services Limited. The contract starts with immediate effect. Ocean Installer will perform the offshore construction of the Aje Ph1 project off the coast of Nigeria. The scope of work includes mooring buoy installation and hook up, flowline and umbilical installation. Folawiyo Aje Services Limited (FASL) functions as dedicated technical advisor to the field operator Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum.

French oil major Total, operator for the Egina oil field offshore Nigeria, together with its construction and survey partners, has successfully installed a Fusion 6G subsea positioning network to support its development of the $15 billion project. Supplied by Sonardyne International Ltd, UK, the acoustic technology specified for Egina, which is still ongoing, included a field-wide array of Compatt 6 seabed transponders that were deployed and made ready for work eight days ahead schedule. Located 150 kilometres off the coast of Nigera, in water depths of up to 1,750 metres, the Egina field covers an area of around 500 square miles. Infrastructure will include an FPSO, an oil offloading terminal and subsea production systems that will included 52 kilometres of oil and water injection flowlines, 12 flexible jumpers, 20 kilometres of gas export pipelines, 80 kilometres of umbilicals, and subsea manifolds. Production at the field is expected to reach 200,000 barrels per day at its peak.

Tidewater Subsea & T1 Marine Complete BW Offshore FPSO Inspection Offshore Nigeria

Tidewater Subsea in affiliation with its local Nigerian joint venture company, T1 Marine, has successfully completed Mooring and Hull inspections program for BW Offshore's Sendje Berge FPSO. The inspection included mooring chain measurements, hull cleaning and complete inspection reporting services utilizing the survey / light IMR vessel Goldblatt Tide. "Outfitted with a 3000m rated FMC Schilling Robotics WROV and 50T stern A-frame, the Goldblatt Tide is the ideal solution for cost-effective deep and shallow water pre-lay and post lay surveys, as well as a large variety of inspection, maintenance and repair scopes along the West African coast" says Ray Maza, Tidewater Subsea Business Development Manager.
