Another Saab Seaeye Tiger-N ROV Goes Nuclear

Built to survive in nuclear storage ponds, a sixth Saab Seaeye Tiger-N robot has been ordered for the Sellafield nuclear site. The sixth Seaeye Tiger-N joins a fleet of nuclear-environment enabled Seaeye Tiger-Ns, deployed to gather and sort, metre-long, 15kg radioactive fuel bars, for removal to long-term storage, among other roles.

New Contract for BOA SUB C

BOA OCV have been awarded a new contract in the North Sea for the subsea construction vessel BOA SUB C. The contract is with a large international contractor for construction and decommissioning projects. Commencement of contract is May 2022 for a firm period of 150 days plus options which, if declared, will keep the vessel utilized into 2Q 2023.

Fugro Secures Cable Route Survey Contract for Denmark’s Energy Islands

Fugro has secured a new contract with Energinet to undertake cable route surveys for the North Sea Energy Island project. The Energy Island will serve as an offshore power plant distributing up to 10 GW of offshore wind to Denmark and other neighbouring markets. Fugro will perform a combination of geophysical, geotechnical services and laboratory testing to provide valuable insight into the ground engineering challenges along the cable route from the Danish landfalls to the future artificial island location.

ATOLL uses a robotized latching system guided by visual aided docking algorithms. Each LBL temporary frame or acoustic transponder must be equipped a bullet to allow quick interfacing with the ATOLL ROV.
