Aberdeen company includes global offshore wind projects in its new market intelligence platform to help businesses aiming to diversify.

Aberdeen-based Archer Knight is helping companies in the energy industry move with the rapidly changing times and diversify into renewables.

The subsea market intelligence and consultancy specialist has expanded its web-based market intelligence platform to include offshore wind developments (floating and fixed), alongside subsea oil & gas projects.

It believes the addition will be an essential tool for oil & gas businesses aiming to diversify into renewable energy.

Flowline, Archer Knight’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform was launched earlier this year to help businesses cut through the noise and target the most profitable opportunities. It drives data and analysis directly to its users, with charts and graphics on data points including vessel activity, ongoing projects, and offshore activity.

Now it will also include floating and fixed global offshore wind projects.

For the first phase, Western Europe has been added – around 200 projects. The full expanse of offshore wind developments (around 700 projects) will be included by early September. Users will be able to see details of ownership and operators for all the developments.

Archer Knight Executive Director David Sheret said:Flowline continues to grow, and we’re fully focused on continually providing visibility for our clients without increased costs.

Flowline was designed to be your own digital employee, the principal idea behind it was always to ensure its users have everything in one place.

Diversification is a key concern across the energy industry. This has become even more important in recent months as global events mean companies are rethinking their business models. Adding offshore wind to Flowline will ensure those companies wanting to diversify have access to the information they need to take their businesses forward.
