C-Kore Celebrates Successful Umbilical Monitoring Campaign with Vår Energi in Norway

C-Kore Systems successfully completed an umbilical monitoring campaign for Vår Energi on their Balder Future project in Norway. The C-Kore Cable Monitor units were used to test the insulation resistance and continuity of the umbilical electrical lines during installation. With their automated test routine, the C-Kore units quickly and repeatedly tested and data-logged measurements of cable integrity, reducing the testing time required.

C-Kore Signs First Brazilian Contract with TechnipFMC for Petrobras’ Mero 1 Project

C-Kore Systems recently signed a contract with TechnipFMC in Brazil for delivery of their sub-sea testing tools for the Mero 1 project, in which Petrobras (40%) acts as Operator of the Libra Consortium, formed by the companies Shell Brasil (20%), TotalEnergies (20%), CNODC (10%) and CNOOC Limited (10%), with Pré-sal Petróleo S.A. – PPSA, as the manager of the Production Sharing Contract. The C-Kore tools will be used to perform the subsea electrical verification of the umbilicals after installation.

Cranium Engineering Deploys C-Kore Units Again in Nigeria

The CKore tools were used to test the electrical integrity of the subsea assets. The operation for a major oil operator in over 1,000m water depth allowed rapid testing of umbilicals and electrical flying leads (EFLs) for regulatory compliance and immediate rectification of subsea faults, saving significant man hours and vessel time.
