AKOFS Offshore and IKM Subsea Brazil Awarded Long-term Contract in Brazil

AKOFS Offshore (AKOFS) has been awarded a three-year contract with Petrobras to perform a broad scope of subsea services in Brazil. IKM Subsea Brazil will be responsible for the ROV services and Grupo Bravante will be responsible for marine services of the vessel Skandi Santos, a state of art Subsea Equipment Support Vessel (SESV) designed and equipped for subsea equipment installation, intervention and recovery. She will perform services in Buzios Field located within the region of pre-salt Santos Basin situated approximately 200km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at water depths ranging from 1,600m to 2,100m.

FiberHome Phils.,Inc. has awarded IKM Ocean Design AS a detailed design contract for cable routing, installation and protection engineering of around 650km submarine communication cables in the Philippines, which is focusing on the need to expand and upgrade the telecommunication services and the establishment of new submarine cable systems in the Philippines.

IKM Ocean Design awarded Johan Sverdrup Phase 2 Pipeline and Umbillical Detail Engineering Contract

Equinor has awarded the Johan Sverdrup Phase 2 Pipeline and Umbillical Detail Engineering contract to IKM Ocean Design. The contract is a continuation of IKM Ocean Design’s long term involvement in the Johan Sverdrup project, where the company has been involved in all project stages for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the development since 2013.

Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy Kjell-Børge Freiberg visits IKM Subsea

IKM Subsea welcomed Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy Kjell-Børge Freiberg to their Bryne Headquarters last week. Freiberg had invited himself together with representatives from his Government department to view the ROV Onshore Control Center. Several members of the press also attended and the minister was impressed stating: “This is like science fiction”. Freiberg added that there is high demand for modern Norwegian technology such as this both in the oil and gas sector and renewables market. He said furthermore that the Norwegian Government now has opened further two blocks for offshore Wind parks in Norwegian waters, and that he sees IKM Subsea’s Remote and Resident ROV solutions to be highly attractive for such areas.

IKM Testing Awarded Major Contract at Tyra Redevelopment

Total E&P Danmark A/S has awarded IKM Testing a comprehensive contract on the Danish Continental Shelf. The contract has been won in strong international competition. The contract includes cleaning and preparation for the removal of existing platforms and associated subsea pipelines. The contract will mainly be carried out in 2019 and parts of 2020.

Equinor, Norske Shell and IKM Subsea have agreed to adopt the terms and conditions of the Contract originally signed between Norske Shell and IKM Subsea for provision of Light ROV & inspection services for Equinor operations. The services specifically ordered by Equinor will include onshore project management, engineering and offshore operations utilising the Siem Pride which is subject to a vessel share agreement with Norske Shell. The requested services and equipment will be delivered based on a call off mechanism and contract arrangement is estimated for two years with options to extend.

IKM Subsea Secures PTTEP Drilling Contract

IKM Subsea Singapore signed a contract with PTTEPI for their appraisal campaign offshore in Myanmar. IKM Subsea will be providing a Merlin WR200 electrical propulsion system together with a BOP intervention tool and an IKM Technology designed and built diamond wire cutter for this project onboard the rig. This marks as IKM’s second deepest dive in South East Asia as the water depth ranges from 200mtrs to 2000mtrs.

IKM Subsea Singapore Starts 2018 with Multiple Contract Awards

Contract 1
IKM Subsea Singapore has started 2018 well with a double contract award. The first is a contract to provide 2 x ROVS for a FNLG Mooring Installation in Bangladesh. IKM Subsea provided 1 x Merlin WR200 and a Comanche with the necessary toolings onboard the vessel Jumbo Javelin. IKM was chosen due to previous experience with the client, Jumbo Offshore and the ability to perform in strong weather conditions in Bangladesh. With the Merlin WR200, the operating weather window is extended to help and execute the project.

The world first commercial onshore remote WROV operations started.

The world’s first* commercial onshore controlled ROV operations commenced at IKM Subsea headquarters in Bryne Norway 12th June.

IKM Subsea announced the award of a major ROV services contract for the fields Visund and Snorre B in the North Sea last August.

The contract provides for the testing, and installation of an electrical, permanently seabed installed RROV (Residential - ROV). The system will interface with IKMS’s Onshore Control Center via Tampnet, a dedicated fiber-based network system for the platforms in question. The systems are equally design to operate on the 4G mobile broadband system.

IKM Subsea Singapore signs new contract with Solstad Offhore

Solstad Offshore in Singapore has recently awarded IKM Subsea Singapore a service contract to provide ROV services onboard on the DLB “Norce Endeavour” for construction support projects offshore in Thailand (hat-trick award from 2015). The barge will be mobilized in Singapore and will be working in the Gulf of Thailand for various clients. IKM Subsea will provide the Merlin WR 200 Work class ROV together with the required tooling’s to execute the project which consist of numerous platform and Pipelines installation coupled with dive support for Subsea tie-in and commissioning.
