Greensea Launches EOD Workspace Simulator

Greensea Systems, creator of EOD Workspace, the software and control solution for military EOD operations, has launched EOD Workspace Simulator. The new simulator, created in partnership with GRi Simulations, incorporates a physics engine based on actual subsea vehicle models which provides the realism needed to prepare operators, technicians, and other subject matter experts to be successful in critical real-world subsea environments when using EOD Workspace in the field. EOD Workspace Simulator will be offered for sale to military groups actively using EOD Workspace.

Greensea Appoints New Account Executive

Greensea, creator of OPENSEATM, the universal ma-rine industry operating platform, has recently announced the appointment of Karl Lander as Account Executive. Prior to joining Greensea, Karl spent two decades with the United States Coast Guard. Most recently, he was the Executive Officer aboard the USCGC Healy, where he was responsible for the in-ternal operations of an 85-member crew and managed a 137-member cross-functional team during a 64-day scientific expedition to the North Pole. Karl earned a M.S. in Engineering and Technology Management from Portland State University in Oregon, and a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He is a Certified Surface Supplied and SCUBA Diver with experience in military and scientific expeditions.

Richmond, Vermont, USA, July 13, 2017 – Greensea, creator of OPENSEATM, the universal marine industry operating platform, has recently announced the appointment of Geoffrey Abbott as Robotics Engineer. Prior to joining Greensea, Geoff was a software development manager at MyWebGrocer, where he led a team in the Rapid Application Development Group. His experience also includes partnership in a local software development company and a teaching position in advanced programing at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Geoff earned his B.S. degree in Mathematics and minored in Computer Science at the University of Vermont, and he is a practitioner of the martial arts of Aikido and Tae Kwon Do.
