400 Million NOK ROV contract awarded to IKM Subsea by AKOFS Offshore.

AKOFS Offshore (AKOFS) was awarded a five + three year light well intervention (LWI) services contract on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) with Equinor earlier this year, and IKM Subsea is proud to announce that AKOFS has selected IKM Subsea to be their ROV partner for the contract.

The contract with AKOFS includes building and mobilizing two Merlin UCV’s onboard the AKOFS Seafarer and supplying ROV services with personnel and onshore support for the duration of the contract.

Considering the challenging times the industry is going through it makes me especially proud to be commissioning the new build of two state of the art ROV systems for this contract. The ROVs will be built by IKM Subsea’s sister company, IKM Technology, at Bryne, Norway, where both companies are headquartered. Delivery and mobilization of the ROVs to the vessel will be mid-2019. The state of the art technology, with all its features re efficiency, redundancy, conditioning monitoring and optimized performance, will together with IKM’s organization both onshore and offshore assist and be a key contributor to the overall operational performance of the LWI contract.
