Technology Showcase Success at Ashtead Technology

Over 100 subsea professionals attended Ashtead’s annual Technology Showcase this week to explore the latest underwater technologies which are helping the subsea industry meet the challenges of increasingly complex projects in the most cost-efficient way.



Held at its purpose-built facility in Westhill, the event welcomed a host of world leading manufacturers including, iXblue, Blue Ocean Monitoring, Vortex, Teledyne and Kongsberg, who showcased their cutting-edge products, equipment and tools. The event also looked at the new and existing technologies which push the boundaries of what is possible and commercially viable in terms of underwater IRM.

Attendees also got the opportunity to take a look around Ashtead’s state-of-the-art calibration laboratory which recently received an official seal of approval from the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

One attendee commented: “I’m new to this part of our industry, however the event was a great opportunity to talk to the important equipment operators and get a detailed and valuable insight into the work carried out across the sector and products and services used to do it.”

While another added: “Ashtead Technology’s annual showcase is a great opportunity to find out about the latest technological developments, while reconnecting with old friends and meeting prospective business contacts.”



Earlier this week, Ashtead secured a deal with leading international contractor Van Oord to provide the latest generation of video processing systems for worldwide offshore construction operations. The company also recently expanded its rental fleet following a significant investment in iXblue RAMSES - a state-of-the-art subsea navigation system which has been proven deliver extreme precision in even the world’s most challenging seas.
