DCNS and BpiFrance announce the launch of DCNS Energies,a new marine energy business €100 million equity investment

DCNS, the parent company of OpenHydro and the European leader in naval defence, has announced the creation of DCNS Energies a new marine energy business which will be fully financed by a fund managed by Bpifrance and supported by Technip and BNP Paribas development groups.

Technip has been awarded a subsea contract by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, (wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS), for the Samarang Redevelopment Project Phase 2 EOR, in Malaysia. Under this contract, Technip will manage the engineering, supply, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of flexible pipelines, with diameters ranging from 4” to 6”, as well as EPCIC of associated platform I-tubes.

Technip awarded important contract for Dvalin subsea development

Technip has been awarded an EPCI contract for the subsea development of the Dvalin (previously named Zidane) field by DEA Norge AS. The Dvalin field development is a tie-back from a new 4-slot template to the Heidrun platform through a 15km long Pipe-in-Pipe production line. The development also connects the Heidrun gas export from Heidrun to the Polarled Gas Transport Pipeline through a new 7.5km pipeline. The contract includes engineering, procurement and installation of the pipelines, spools, riser bases and PLEMs (pipeline end modules) as well as rock installation and commissioning scope. Also included in the contract is the installation of a control umbilical between Heidrun and the Dvalin template. Offshore installation will be carried out in 2018 and 2019 by Technip’s own vessels, including the state-of-the-art reel lay vessel Deep Energy for pipelay and North Sea Atlantic for umbilical installation. The project will be managed from Technip Norge’s offices at Lysaker, Norway, with pipe fabrication at the Orkanger Spoolbase.

Technip awarded key IRM frame agreement in UKCS

Technip has been awarded a key contract by Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited for Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) works on its North Sea subsea infrastructure. The frame agreement with Repsol Sinopec Resources UK will see Technip provide diving support and IRM services for 2016, with possible extension to include 2017 and 2018.

InterMoor Pte successfully completes marine aspects of Malikai TLP float-off operation in Malaysia

InterMoor, an Acteon company and part of its foundations and moorings business, recently completed its involvement in the Shell Malikai Tension Leg Platform (TLP) float-off operations. The TLP was loaded onto the Dockwise Heavy Lift Vessel White Marlin at Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) shipyard in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, and transported to a float-off location in the Singapore Straits.

Technip awarded major natural gas field development contract in Mediterranean Sea

- Leveraging its broad-based solutions - Technip has been awarded a major(1) contract to develop the Bahr Essalam, Phase II development in the Central Mediterranean Sea. This natural gas field development, which is operated by Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. Libyan Branch, a consortium between National Oil Corporation and ENI North Africa, will be tied back to the Sabratha platform, which is situated approximately 110km off the Libyan coast in a water depth of approximately 190m.

Technip awarded a three-year contract by Total E&P Angola for engineering services

Technip Angola Engenharia Limitada, a joint venture between Technip and Sonangol, was awarded by Total E&P Angola a three-year engineering services contract. This contract covers services for the existing Girassol, Pazflor, Dalia and CLOV floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units and associated subsea field development. These FPSOs are located in Block 17, offshore Angola.

- Leveraging its subsea vertical integration - Technip was awarded by Shell Offshore Inc. (“Shell”) a contract for the development of subsea infrastructure for the Stones project. Included in the service are two subsea production tie-backs to the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The Stones field is located in the Walker Ridge area in the US Gulf of Mexico, at a water depth of 2,930 meters along the pipelay route.

Technip awarded umbilical supply contract by ENI - Reinforcing its footprint in Angola -

Technip’s wholly-owned subsidiaries Technip Umbilicals Ltd.(1) and Angoflex Ltda. have been awarded a contract by ENI S.p.A. to supply umbilicals to the Block 15/06 East Hub Development offshore Angola. This field is located approximately 350 kilometers north of Luanda, at water depths of 450-600 meters. The contract covers project management and manufacture of about 15 kilometers of dynamic and static steel tube umbilicals

Harkand awarded contract with Technip in Ghana

15th September 2015, A NEW joint venture between Harkand and Consolidated Shipping Agencies Ltd has resulted in its first contract win in Ghana, West Africa. The award will see the global inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) company delivering onshore and offshore support to Technip in the region. Having formed a strategic alliance with Consolidated Shipping Agencies Ltd, the company’s Aberdeen-based Harkand Andrews Survey team will deliver services to Technip on the Tullow Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) project situated in the deepwater Tano block, approximately 60km off the coast of Ghana.

Technip wins flexible pipe contract in offshore East Malaysia

- Leveraging its unique subsea integrated approach - Technip has been awarded an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) for D18 Project. The project covers the procurement and installation of two 8” water injection flexible pipes totalling 9.5 kilometers. The flexible pipes will connect three fixed jacket platforms which form the existing D18 infrastructure offshore Sarawak, Malaysia, at a water depth of 36 meters. This contract is part of the 5-year Framework Agreement signed with PETRONAS in late 2014 and is in line with Technip strategy to strengthen its partnerships with its clients to drive cost optimization.
