C-Kore deploys with Australian operator to test downhole gauges

C-Kore Systems has finished a series of deployments with an Australian operator to perform detailed measurements of downhole gauges. The C-Kore Subsea TDR unit verified the downhole connections and cables, providing quick and accurate information on the location of anomalies. The information gained would be difficult or impossible to measure using traditional testing methods and allows the operator to learn lessons for future well installation campaigns.

The Australian science team discovered the deepest living hard corals in Eastern Australian waters, sighted fish in regions where they had never been found before, and identified up to 10 new marine species of fish, snails, and sponges.

Fugro selected for Australian Government’s HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP)

The Australian Government has selected Fugro to join the HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP) to increase Australia’s hydrographic industry capability. The panel of industry partners was chosen as part of a long-term strategy to ensure safe shipping routes, commercial ports and maritime approaches within the Australian Charting Area. Panel members will acquire marine environmental data to produce digital maps of Australia’s sea and coastal areas that will improve the safety of maritime vessels operating in Australia’s sea charting area, which covers 10 % of the earth’s surface.

Subsea 7 Awarded Contract Offshore Australia

Subsea 7 today confirmed a substantial(1) contract award by Woodside for the execution of phase 2 of the Julimar-Brunello Project. This contract was awarded to Subsea 7 earlier this year, subject to the final investment decision of the Julimar-Brunello joint venture participants (Woodside and KUFPEC), which has now occurred. (1) Subsea 7 defines a substantial contract as being between USD 150 million and USD 300 million.

Another successful C-Kore deployment in Australian waters

C-Kore Systems has successfully completed another offshore campaign off the West Australian North West Shelf. C-Kore’s subsea testing tools quickly located the faulty subsea equipment allowing it to be replaced to make the field operational again.
