C-Kore Systems supporting PTTEP on offshore deployment

16.12.2016
C-Kore Systems has been awarded another contract by PTTEP Australasia to supply them with four C-Kore Subsea Monitoring tools for an offshore operation in Australian waters. PTTEP has used the C-Kore devices on multiple deployments, and found “Offshore testing can be significantly simplified with this meter, and overall schedule reduced. This in turn would save substantial costs during offshore inspection and fault finding campaigns. The result of the test by the new technique is more reliable, consistent and cost effective method to confirm insulation resistance in a subsea cable system.”

SMD originally delivered the T3200 back in 2008 as the world’s most powerful trenching asset and were subsequently awarded a contract in 2013 to add an interchangeable jet trenching cassette which delivered unrivalled jetting power in softer ground.

Sonardyne SensorView reduces non-productive rig time at Ichthys

10.05.2016
Software that enables acoustic data to be streamed in real-time from subsea structures as they are installed has helped to reduce non-production time (NPT) for independent oil and gas producer, INPEX, and its survey contractor, Neptune Geomatics, during construction of the Ichthys gas field, offshore Western Australia.

Project to improve risk assessment and monitoring of offshore Carbon Capture and Storage sites

01.03.2016
The world’s first ‘real world’ deep-water controlled experiment simulating emission from a submerged carbon dioxide storage reservoir is to take place in the North Sea, with the aim of further verifying the safety of offshore carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage (CCS). Small quantities of CO₂ will be injected into mud on the sea floor in the North Sea, 100km North East of Aberdeen. This site is in the vicinity of a depleted gas field and is a typical location that could be used for carbon dioxide storage.

C-Kore Systems delivers Subsea Monitoring Tools to PTTEP Australasia

17.02.2016
UK based C-Kore Systems delivered their subsea monitoring units to PTTEP Australasia for use on the Subsea Equipment Australian Reliability (SEAR) JIP. The SEAR JIP was formed to meet the challenging subsea conditions faced in Australian waters. C-Kore’s subsea monitoring technology provides quick and reliable information on the electrical condition of subsea assets, eliminating the use of down-lines or the requirement to bring the equipment topside to test.
