The rise of ‘ROV DP’, the capability to hold an ROV (remotely operated vehicle) stationary in the water column, has led to an increase in the sharing of ROV-mounted sensors, for ROV positioning, imaging and survey purposes. Novacavi reports engagement in a pilot project for ENI platforms subsidence monitoring in Adriatic Sea

Novacavi is pleased to announce its engagement in a pilot project for ENI (Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi – National Oil Board) platforms subsidence monitoring in Adriatic Sea. Novacavi has been called in to provide a specially designed custom pressure resistant cable for a new submarine hydraulic digital profile meter to be laid on the seabed close to a gas extracting platform. Installation of this monitoring system may reach a depth of 100m in order to survey and to take permanent readings of the subsidence cone caused by gas extraction.
