Drafinsub performs Pipeline Inspection and Maintenance on Lake Garda

New Project: Commercial diving on Garda lake. Acque Bresciane has again commissioned Drafinsub for the maintenance and the securing of Garda Lake pipeline. Raffaella Saturation System was utilised for this new project. The operations begun in March. Commercial divers will work underwater, up to the depth of 186 m. The specialized divers will continue the operations started 2 years ago.

NOVACAVI has developed a reinforced umbilical cable to ensure safe operations during inspection of oil & gas pipelines with cable-operated ultrasonic pigs. 13XM469 cable has been engineered with a hybrid configuration made of tinned copper conductors and fiber optic in stainless steel tube for reliable power supply, control and data transmission with fiber braid strength member to withstand pulling caused by friction in pipeline bends and tool weight itself.

Nord Stream Awards Contract for External Inspection of the Pipeline to MMT

MMT Sweden has been awarded a three-year contract by Nord Stream AG to inspect both lines of the Nord Stream Pipeline running through the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany. The external inspection of the pipeline will be executed by the joint venture between MMT Sweden and Reach Subsea.

Positive Results from 2014 External Inspection Survey of Nord Stream Pipeline

Nord Stream has completed an external inspection of the two pipelines. The job was executed using a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), equipped with digital cameras, specific sensors and operated from a dedicated support vessel. The visual and instrumental (geophysical) inspection was performed on the whole length of the pipelines through the Baltic Sea.
