Forum signs Comanche deal with Baltic Diver Germany

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of two Sub-Atlantic™ Comanche ROVs to international diving contractor Baltic Taucherei- und Bergungsbetrieb Rostock GmbH (Baltic Diver Germany). The deal, supported by distributor Scholz Ingenieur Bϋro, will see both systems delivered at the beginning of May 2017 following an optimised manufacturing schedule. The Forum Sub-Atlantic Comanche was chosen due to its high thrust-to-weight ratio and compact laydown requirements which make it ideally suited for the operating environments expected by Baltic Diver.

Forum seals Mojave ROV deal with Norwegian firm

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. has delivered a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to ESEA Submarine AS to perform a variety of offshore roles, including inspection, survey and salvage work. The powerful and compact Sub-Atlantic™ Mojave will also be used by ESEA Submarine’s sister company, ESEA Marine AS, which has customers that include fish farms, port authorities and insurance companies. In addition, the Mojave will play a training role in helping ROV pilots to develop their skills. Georg Stranden, general manager at ESEA Submarine, said: “We see opportunities in the Norwegian inshore market and found the Mojave suitable for the purpose because it is a truly mobile system which is very powerful for its size.”

Forum ROV to support University of Limerick’s pioneering Renewables Projects

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. has won an order to supply the University of Limerick with a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to support its subsea inspection and intervention work on renewable energy infrastructure. The University’s Mobile and Marine Robotics Research Centre (MMRRC) has purchased the Sub-Atlantic™ Comanche 2,000 metre Observation Class ROV and associated launch and recovery system for delivery in March 2017 under a MaREI Science Foundation Ireland infrastructure grant (15/RI/3232). The Comanche was selected due to its high thrust to drag ratio enabling it to operate in strong waves, currents and winds – typical conditions for the offshore renewables industry. The system will be equipped to a high specification with precision positioning and navigation systems, camera and lighting systems and sonars

Sub-Atlantic seals second ROV deal with AALEA Offshore
