Seaforth Geosurveys, a leading Canadian marine survey company, recently acquired iXblue new Gaps M5 USBL system to support data acquisition for marine geophysical survey projects, including one in the Canadian Arctic as well as multiple other projects such as support of sidescan sonar operations during lost and abandoned fishing gear (Ghost Gear) identification and retrieval efforts.

Ashtead Technology has announced the acquisition of Abu Dhabi based TES Survey Equipment Services LLC for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will enable the leading independent provider of subsea equipment and services to the offshore oil and gas industry to significantly increase its customer service offering in the Middle East, a region which has strong growth potential for Ashtead.

Abu-Dhabi based TES Survey Equipment Services LLC is to become the first company in the Middle East to rent the latest 6G underwater acoustic positioning technology from Sonardyne International Ltd. The order for multiple Mini-Ranger 2 Ultra-Short BaseLine (USBL) systems and Wideband Sub-Mini 6 Plus (WSM 6+) transponders will be added to TES’ existing hire pool of Sonardyne equipment and used to support offshore survey and construction projects across the region.
