We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team of experienced marine roboticists designing and building the next generation of collaborative subsea work systems. You will work with the team to integrate electronic and electrical systems that unlock the true potential of autonomous marine systems, from architecture and development to testing and deployment in the field. This is intended to be a full time role - 40 hours per week, worked flexibly. Candidates must be based in the UK. Remote working options are available, but the role will require occasional travel to our office in Aberdeenshire and test locations internationally.

Responsibilities:
● Contribute to a team of interdisciplinary engineers
● Understand best practices and current state of the art in robotics hardware
● Design and implement cutting edge hardware solutions for marine robotics
● Design and implement embedded computer systems for real-time robotics software
● Deliver high quality, documented and well tested systems
● Participate in field trials for subsea robotics systems
● Understand customer requirements and how to achieve them

Requirements:
● BSc or an MSc in Electronic & Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
● Proficiency in designing, developing and deploying electronic and electrical systems
● Awareness of energy systems and power management
● Proficiency in computer networking and communication systems
● Experience with computer configuration and deployment
● Experience with system integration testing and in-field fault finding
● Experience with mobile or marine robotics a plus
● Experience with software engineering a plus
