Blue Ocean Marine Services (BOMS) is a Joint Venture between Blue Ocean Monitoring and the Vertech Group based in Perth, Western Australia. The team at BOMS are experts in the design and execution of offshore surveys primarily using unmanned and remotely operated survey technologies, including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV), and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), but also traditional metocean and environmental survey equipment and methods.
Requirements & Summary
Blue Ocean Marine Services, experts in the design and execution of offshore surveys primarily using unmanned and remotely operated survey technologies, are currently seeking Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) Supervisors, Engineers and Technicians to join the growing team responsible for the operation and maintenance of subsea robotic systems. The roles will be based in Perth, Australia, and international applications will be considered.
This will primarily focus on the L3Harris Iver-3 AUVs but will also include work on Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), subsea acoustic positional systems, and a range of oceanographic and environmental monitoring equipment.
Responsibilities for all roles will include
* Support of vehicle operations;
* Design and upgrade of vehicle and monitoring systems;
* Development and tracking of documentation; and
* Data management.
Candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment both onshore and during field operations. Sea duties include operational and technical support of systems at sea, world-wide but primarily in Australian region. Expected travel will be up to 60 days per annum with typical individual trip lengths of 1-3 weeks.
