Oceaneering Achieves ‘Fit 4 Offshore Renewables’ Granted Status at Rosyth, Scotland, Cable Facility

Oceaneering announces today that its Rosyth, Scotland, cable manufacturing facility has successfully achieved “Fit 4 Offshore Renewables” (F4OR) Granted Status by the Offshore Wind Energy Council (OWEC) and ORE (Offshore Renewable Energy) Catapult, a leading UK technology innovation and research center for offshore renewables.





Oceaneering completed a rigorous 18-month program covering business readiness and sector specific areas.

Audrey Orhon, General Manager, Manufactured Products-Rosyth, said: “We are delighted to be granted F4OR Status as the first cable manufacturer to be recognized by the organization. We are grateful to ORE Catapult, OWEC, Opergy, NAMRC (Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre), and other agencies for their guidance and time. Oceaneering has been contributing to the offshore renewables industry for over 10 years and we are delighted to be recognized for our efforts locally.”

F4OR is a unique program that helps prepare the UK supply chain to bid for work in the offshore renewable energy sector. The objective of the F4OR program is to support the development of an increasingly competent, capable, and competitive UK offshore renewable energy supply chain – maximizing opportunity for suppliers, both domestically and globally.
