Kraken Closes Acquisition of Brazilian Underwater Robotics Company

Kraken Robotics Inc. (TSX-V: PNG, OTCQB: KRKNF), Canada’s Ocean Company, is pleased to announce that it has acquired 13 Robotics Ltda of Brazil (“13R”). The 13R team, with offices in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Brazil, consists of software developers and engineers who have significant experience in underwater robotics and autonomous systems for the energy markets. Since inception in 2013, 13R have completed projects for a number of global energy companies, with a focus on autonomous underwater inspection in offshore oil and gas as well as renewable energy.

Huntington Ingalls Industries Announces Commercial Release of REMUS 300 UUV

Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today the commercial release of its REMUS 300 unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV). This new, open architecture, small-class UUV can dive to depths of 305 meters (1,000 feet) and has endurance options up to 30 hours.

Maersk Drilling Secures One-well Ultra-deepwater Exploration Contract in Gabon

Maersk Drilling has been awarded a one-well contract from PC Gabon Upstream S.A. (PCGUSA), a subsidiary of PETRONAS, for the provision of a deepwater drillship rig. The 7th generation drillship Maersk Viking will be employed to drill an ultra-deepwater exploration well at approximately 2,100 m water depth in Block F13 offshore Gabon. n the news recently we can see that DLM has announced a new partnership with Dunlop as an official global distributor of the 18" Dunlop Tyre, commonly utilised by the Cable Laying Industry. Elsewhere, Kongsberg Maritime has reached an agreement to supply Norway’s Institute of Marine Research (IMR) with four autonomous vessels and Subsea 7 recently announced the award of a sizeable contract. The scope of work includes engineering, project management and procurement.

The 14th edition of OEEC will have a physical exhibition floor and content programme combined with an online event and matchmaking environment.
