Whilst the agreement formalises the partnership between Fugro and AD Ports Group, the companies have been working together since March 2022 ahead of the arrival of the region’s first USV, the Fugro Pegasus. The USV was recently welcomed into the UAE and will be stationed at Al Mirfa Port, Abu Dhabi.

Fugro has commenced a programme of geophysical and geotechnical surveys for Artelia, Abu Dhabi as part of the Hail and Ghasha development, a landmark project by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

Ashtead Technology has announced the acquisition of Abu Dhabi based TES Survey Equipment Services LLC for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will enable the leading independent provider of subsea equipment and services to the offshore oil and gas industry to significantly increase its customer service offering in the Middle East, a region which has strong growth potential for Ashtead.

A global oil and gas skills and training body today called on the industry not to cut corners on safety training and competence in the face of a much lower oil price. The call was issued as OPITO announced the final speaker line-up and content for its sixth annual conference and exhibition on safety and competence to be held in Abu Dhabi on the 3rd of November and sponsored by Shell.

The accolades will be presented at the OPITO Safety and Competency Conference (OSCC) held at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Abu Dhabi 3 November 2015. Seabed Geosolutions will soon mobilise for the variation order that was signed today by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) with CGG to conduct a shallow water seabed survey. The survey is over the Ghasha-Butini field, will take around 12 months and has a value of around USD 125 million. The recent successful completion of the Hail-Shuweihat survey has promoted this variation order, confirming ADNOC’s confidence in Seabed Geosolutions’ ability to operate safely and efficiently.
