Kraken Robotics Announces $3 Million Boulder Detection Survey Contract for Offshore Wind Farm Project in Europe. Kraken’s contract scope includes mobilisation of a dedicated survey vessel, deployment of optimal sub-bottom survey equipment, and expert personnel to provide specialist engineering design support to de-risk the installation of the project’s two large offshore substations. This survey campaign will be executed in Q4 2023 with Kraken’s Acoustic CorerTM technology providing accurate, high resolution 3D imaging of twenty-four sub-seabed cores, with the cores placed to maximise coverage over the foundation leg locations.

Reach Subsea has Received a Notice of Contract Award

Reach Subsea ASA, the trusted data and subsea service provider for ocean-based industries, has received a notice of contract award, subject to successful contract negotiation, from a major European energy provider. The potential contract has a duration of approximately 75 vessel days and is scheduled for execution in the fourth quarter of 2023. The project will utilize one of Reach Subsea’s DP2 subsea vessels and the onboard high-speed survey ROV, the Surveyor Interceptor.

Global marine contractor Van Oord recently deployed iXblue new LBL subsea positioning solution to conduct the installation of 190 offshore wind farm piles in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc (France). Already used on major Oil&Gas and Renewables projects, iXblue Canopus transponders, Ramses transceivers and Delph Subsea Positioning Software have been used by Van Oord to conduct metrology operations. Those aimed to ensure the laid-out piles had been positioned as per the requested specifications.

Teledyne Marine announces the opening of a Vehicles Service Center at the Teledyne Reson office in Slangerup, Denmark. The expanded facility in Slangerup will support the large number of LBVs, vLBVs, and Z-Boats throughout Europe. Customers of Teledyne SeaBotix and Teledyne Oceanscience will now have the option to have their Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) repaired, refurbished and tested within Europe. Local service will eliminate the need to ship vehicles back to the United States, saving significant time, effort, and money.
