Proserv Middle East secures multiple contract awards

Energy services company Proserv has been awarded a series of contracts worth a combined value of more than $11million USD for its production control new-build and after-market services in the Middle East. In the UAE, Proserv will be engineering and manufacturing wellhead control panels, hydraulic power units (HPUs) and chemical injection systems to national oil companies, service companies and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, estimated to be worth around $10m. Key to the awards is the strong installation, commissioning and life of field service offering that is unique to Proserv in the region

Nord Stream Awards Contract for External Inspection of the Pipeline to MMT

MMT Sweden has been awarded a three-year contract by Nord Stream AG to inspect both lines of the Nord Stream Pipeline running through the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany. The external inspection of the pipeline will be executed by the joint venture between MMT Sweden and Reach Subsea.

Van Oord Places Contract with SMD for High Power Trenching Machine

Soil Machine Dynamics Ltd (SMD) are pleased to announce the signature of a contract with Van Oord for the manufacture and delivery of a QTrencher 1600. This contract follows the successful deployment of SMD’s QTrencher 1400 on Van Oord’s Gemini Wind Farm. Scheduled for delivery in Q1 2018, the high power trenching machine will be supplied with an SMD designed umbilical winch, along with jetting and mechanical cutting tools to tackle a wide range of seabed conditions. Additional functionality includes beach operation to offer cable installation for export and inter array campaigns. The equipment will be loaded directly onto Van Oord’s state of the art cable-laying vessel Nexus from SMD’s Turbinia Works in Wallsend, UK. The QTrencher 1600 is scheduled to be deployed from the Nexus onto various wind farm projects in 2018.

Restrata provides new security solution for firms in Basrah

A security system which brings together up-to-the-minute information on key security developments in Iraq and the implications for companies operating in the region will launch this month. Restrata’s new web-based portal is set to go live and will serve as a platform to provide reporting and longer-term situational risk analysis conducted by its Business Solutions Operation Centre (BSOC) in Basrah. Restrata is co-located with the Basrah Operations Command (BaOC), the main headquarters of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), and provides a liaison between ISF and International Oil Companies (IOCs) and private business.

Oceaneering Announces Anadarko Constellation Umbilical Contract

Oceaneering International, Inc. (“Oceaneering”) (NYSE:OII) announced that it secured a contract from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (“Anadarko”) (NYSE: APC) to supply the umbilical for Anadarko’s Constellation subsea tieback in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The contract is for a dynamic and static electro-hydraulic steel tube control umbilical, and associated hardware. Oceaneering plans to design and manufacture the umbilical at its facility in Panama City, Florida.

The need to recruit and retain properly trained, competent people remains vital. These challenges and opportunities have led the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) to organise an ROV Seminar, with the theme ‘The future for remote systems and ROVs in the offshore construction industry’. Chaired by Graham Duncan of TechnipFMC, the IMCA ROV Committee Chairman, it will be held Tuesday 30 - Wednesday 31 May at Oceaneering International’s facility in Stavanger, Norway. Proserv seals significant subsea contract with Premier Oil

Energy services company Proserv has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract with Premier Oil for work in Asia Pacific. Proserv will supply a subsea control system and associated equipment for the BIGP (Bison, Iguana & Gajah Puteri) development project, located in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia. The scope of supply is a three well subsea control system, which includes the company’s award winning Artemis 2G subsea electronics module, tied back to two platforms, Naga and Pelikan, in approximately 90m water depth. Bison and Iguana will tie back to the Pelikan platform and Gajah Puteri will tie back from a controls perspective to the Naga platform. The Gajah Puteri well is the longest step out at 21km.

IKM Subsea Singapore signs new contract with Solstad Offhore

Solstad Offshore in Singapore has recently awarded IKM Subsea Singapore a service contract to provide ROV services onboard on the DLB “Norce Endeavour” for construction support projects offshore in Thailand (hat-trick award from 2015). The barge will be mobilized in Singapore and will be working in the Gulf of Thailand for various clients. IKM Subsea will provide the Merlin WR 200 Work class ROV together with the required tooling’s to execute the project which consist of numerous platform and Pipelines installation coupled with dive support for Subsea tie-in and commissioning.

Rovco Dives into International Waters UK ROV Company Completes First Overseas Contracts

UK-based start-up Rovco has taken its firsts steps into international waters and made significant progress towards growing its global footprint following the completion of two subsea survey contracts in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The contract awards saw Rovco perform advanced subsea survey work in Fiji and Oman, utilising its state-of-the-art SubAtlantic Mojave, Seaeye Falcon and VideoRay Pro 4 ROVs. Launched in September, the company has also been awarded its first ROV consultancy project with one of the UK's leading engineering solutions providers and recently employed two new ROV pilots. It is now looking to appoint a chief technology officer as it continues to grow its UKCS position and gear up for further overseas expansion. With an increasing pipeline of work, the firm aims to become a leading ROV and inspection company within the next three years, with expertise and capacity to carry out underwater inspection projects across the globe. Currently tendering for work in the Gulf of Mexico, the Middle East and across the UK and Europe, Rovco is poised for further success both at home and further afield.

Fugro awarded three year contract for subsea inspection, repair and maintenance services

Fugro has been awarded a framework contract in the Asia Pacific region for inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services. Under this contract, IRM services can be called off as needed by the client. The total value of the contract is estimated at around EUR 80 million over the three year period.

Siem Offshore Contractors completes cable installation works on the Veja Mate offshore wind farm

Siem Offshore Contractors (SOC) is pleased to announce that all 73 inner array grid cables of the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm have been installed and trenched 10 weeks ahead of schedule. The submarine composite cables were successfully installed since 01-Oct-2016 using the “Siem Duo” consisting of the Cable Lay Vessel Siem Aimery and the Installation Support Vessel Siem Moxie. The Siem Duo demonstrated its advanced weather operability during the harsh winter season, whereby both the operations of the gangway on the Siem Moxie as well as post-lay trenching by the Siem Aimery were undertaken in significant wave heights of up to 3 m. The Siem Aimery loaded in excess of 95 km of copper core submarine composite cables directly into its two turntables in addition to the cable protection systems, which were loaded into a dedicated under-deck storage compartment. While the Siem Moxie assisted with the cable pull-in, termination and testing activities deploying SOC’s dedicated offshore support units (OSU) equipped with generators, pull-in winches, tools and equipment for personnel life support at the individual offshore work sites.

The firm work scope encompasses the installation of flexible risers and flowlines as well as options for additional support work. Ocean Installer is conducting the work as a subcontractor to McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE:MDR).

Xodus wins subsea contract with Apache

Xodus Group has won a contract with North Sea operator Apache to deliver subsea engineering services for two new infill well developments at the Nevis and Skene fields in the Northern North Sea. The project includes a novel idea of designing and fabricating spools with no requirement for metrology focusing on time and effort savings. The latest win follows a number of successful projects delivered for the operator over the last 18 months, including the concept, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design studies for the Beryl field’s Far North Triassic (FNT) subsea tie-back, which was 4km in length

Fugro awarded major five year contract for subsea inspection, repair and maintenance services with INPEX in Australia

Fugro has been awarded a contract from INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd (INPEX) for subsea services to be executed across the Ichthys facilities in the Timor Sea, located approximately 220 kilometres from the coast of Western Australia. INPEX is Japan’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company.
