Engineering deploys C-Kore units again in Nigeria

C-Kore systems completed a successful campaign offshore Nigeria with VAYCO Oil tools and local Nigerian partner Cranium Engineering. The operation for a major oil operator in over 1,000m water depth allowed rapid testing of umbilicals and electrical flying leads (EFLs) for regulatory compliance and immediate rectification of subsea faults, saving significant man hours and vessel time. Being automated, the C-Kore units also reduce the number of personnel needed offshore.

Spotted by Bluefin-12: Shipwreck from 1944 May 11th marked the 76th anniversary of the tragic sinking of the USS YF-415 in the Boston Harbor. The ship was conducting a routine obsolete ammunition dump when signal flares caught fire and ignited shells, leading to a series of explosions that sank the ship. In November 2019, a General Dynamics Mission Systems Bluefin-12 Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) captured detailed images of the USS YF-415.
