Ocean Winds East Announces Name of New York Bight Project as BLUEPOINT WIND

Ocean Winds East, LLC, (OW East) today announced Bluepoint Wind as the official name of its planned offshore wind power project in the New York Bight. The project will be located 38 nautical miles off the coast of New York and 53 nautical miles off the coast of New Jersey and will be able to generate up to 1.7 gigawatts of clean energy, powering up to 900,000 homes, and avoiding an estimated 5 million metric tons of CO2 – the primary cause of climate change. The project will help nearby states achieve important greenhouse gas reduction goals and offshore wind targets including New York’s goal of developing 9,000 megawatts of offshore wind energy by 2035 and New Jersey’s goal of developing 7,500 megawatts of offshore wind energy by 2035.

Subsea Expo 2023 Awards and Conference Abstract Deadlines Extended

In light of recent events and in respect of the period of national mourning, the organisers of Subsea Expo 2023 have announced an extension to the deadline for award entries and conference abstracts. Global Underwater Hub, which organises the three-day industry showcase, has extended the closing date for submitting nominations for the Subsea Expo Awards and abstracts for the conference programme by two weeks to Friday 30 September.

Maersk Drilling secures additional five-well drilling work scope with Petrogas

Maersk Drilling and Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V. have agreed to an amendment of the previously entered contract for the provisioning of the harsh-environment jack-up rig Maersk Resolute, under which an option included in that contract will be replaced by a newly entered five-well drilling contract which will employ Maersk Resolute to drill three wells at the A15 field and two wells at the B10 field, both of which are located offshore the Netherlands.

SMTP provides “venture philanthropy” funding to support the development of new ocean technologies which require sustained support to achieve full potential and availability to the broadest user base. Nauticus Robotics, Inc., formerly known as CleanTech Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: CLAQ), today announced the successful closing of its business combination on September 9, 2022 with Nauticus Robotics, Inc. (“Nauticus”), a developer of ocean robots, autonomy software, and services to the marine industries. Nauticus’ mission is to become the most impactful ocean robotics company through the deployment of autonomous maritime systems. The resulting combined company will operate under the name Nauticus Robotics, Inc. and will be led by Nauticus Founder and CEO Nicolaus Radford and the current executive team. The combined company’s common stock and public warrants will trade on NASDAQ under the symbols “KITT” and “KITTW,” respectively, effective September 13, 2022.

Available as either a floodlight or a spotlight the L6 lamp has been designed to be used on underwater vehicles and installations with a 120VAC/DC supply. The lamp offers up to 10,000 lumens of illumination with flicker free dimming using either RS232, RS485 or analogue control and a range of colour temperature options.
