Fugro has been chosen by Ørsted A/S to undertake a 12-month floating lidar measurement campaign for their Gippsland offshore wind farms, off south coast Gippsland, Victoria. Fugro’s advanced SEAWATCH® Wind Lidar Buoy will measure wind, wave, current and meteorological parameters to help assess the viability of Ørsted’s wind farms located off Gippsland, Victoria.

C-Innovation Awarded New Multi-year IMR Contract by bp

The contract, which has options for two one-year extensions, is for the provision of two subsea construction vessels, C-Constructor and MV Holiday, and access to a vast fleet of specialized subsea and supply vessels. It also includes project management, engineering, equipment, logistics, and port services. The C-Constructor and Holiday are both light construction vessels equipped with 150 MT subsea cranes and two Schilling UHD work class ROVs each.

Shearwater to Embark on Significant New Angolan OBN Survey for TotalEnergies

The deepwater OBN survey will be conducted by the dual ROV equipped SW Tasman, the fit for purpose seismic node laying vessel which was converted in 2023, and SW Gallien as source vessel. The survey will commence in January 2025, over a two and a half-month duration. Shearwater will utilise its compact high-endurance Pearl node for the project.

Subsea7 will be responsible for transporting and installing the flowline, umbilical, and associated subsea components for the tieback. Project management and engineering work will begin immediately at Subsea7’s office in Houston, Texas, and offshore activity is expected to start in 2025.
