Easily deployed on deck, and operated remotely, the cutter will provide an instant cut of softlines used for towing or umbilicals used in chemical injection systems in the event the vessel gets into difficulties.

Exail’s DriX USV takes part in Digital Horizon 22 military exercise by US Navy in Bahrain

Exail, formerly iXblue, recently took part in the Digital Horizon Unmanned & Artificial Intelligence Exercise in Bahrain, organized by the US Navy. The U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet held the three-week exercise in December to test new unmanned technologies, as part of its plans to establish the world’s first Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) fleet of one hundred drones in the Gulf by the end of the summer.

Fugro Awarded a Contract for Brunei's Deepwater Gas Field Development

Fugro has received a sizeable contract for the Kelidang Cluster gas field development project from Petronas Carigali (PC) Brunei. Fugro will perform various site characterisation surveys to support the front-end engineering design for offshore production facilities and the pipelines to prospective buyers onshore. Geotechnical and geophysical data will be acquired using amongst others autonomous underwater vehicles and a seafloor geotechnical drill. The majority of the work will be executed during 2023 in different phases.
